A NEW THEATRICAL FORM
FOR
THE AGE OF REMOTE COMMUNICATION
A Projection Play is a type of performance where at least one of the main characters interacts solely through projected images. This includes all forms of broadcasting and projecting both live and recorded visuals. While any subject, genre, or traditional play can be adapted into a Projection Play, only works specifically written to include a projected character can be considered original Projection Plays.
GREGOR (2013) is the pioneering work of this innovative theatrical form.
"When the elderly butler Gregor goes missing, the lives of his married employers are turned upside down, leading to a bitter conflict. As Gregor's video messages from his runaway vacation surface, they further disrupt the family, pushing the couple into utter madness."
